You mean POTENTIALLY libellous since libel, in the UK at least, is civil law and needs to be judged in a court to be proven. Neither you, I or anybody else is in a position to determine something libellous.

Here endeth today's lesson.

Well, that's fine but the site's owners don't fancy paying m'learned colleagues to find out...unless you want to stump up, oh let's say £20k into an escrow account to cover possibilities? I thought not, so we'll stick to the far cheaper option of nipping "potentially libellous" content in the bud.

The used to drop the Rover 3.5 in them.

I said they never made a 3.5 Capri. It's possible to put a Rover V8 in a mk 3, but not commonly done because the 3.0 Essex Ford engine can be taken out to 3.3 and despite being a V6, still has more BHP than a Rover lump, which began life as an unwanted Oldsmobile experiment. A typical overweight and underpowered yank plodder. An even better option is the Ford 2.9 Scorpio engine, which drops in without a fuss. I was seriously into fast Fords when I was younger. My favourite one was an '83 Escort RS 1600i.

I knew a couple of people who did the rover conversion .. it was to show off that V8 lump rather than for pure performance.

Yes, there are some weirdos in the modification crowd. Remember they used to fit oversized springs and dampers to raise the arse end 5 inches and completely fuck up the handling? My MO was leave ride height alone, stiffen the dampers about 10%, and polish out the cylinder head. Maybe fit a performance Weber twin-choke.

That's better. There's nothing worse than somebody who pretends, badly.

In an ideal world I would marry Ed China and still keep Frau Rat on as my porcupine

Or maybe even as your concubine.  Less spiky quills to deal with.

Totally agree, my wife hates it when I watch "the obviously false" wheeler stealer as I'm always shouting at the TV 'cus of Brewers poor acting and ego, only watched it for the mechanics and Ed.

Brewer! You're a cunt

Is the little fat wanker still doing telly? If so then it’s about time he had another kicking.
