15 years ago I was made to thrown my TV aerial away and buy another if I wanted to watch TV. But I needed a box as well and had no fucking choice but to stump up. The aerial is the same fucking one as my old one in my book. Digital TV was great until a squall of rain or a blizzard came along and wiped the picture out. What a rip-off. A cracked up picture in all weather. Then came the phones, computers, cameras and cuntish e-fags - all digital and said to improved our lives but in acutal fact have unlimited ways to wind you up and so many faults and niggles you long for the warm simplicity of a Rumbelows television and and tell Siri to go and do one. I fucking detest all things digital. Even this cunting lark.

I miss the days when cable tele was introduced.  Quality, strong signal, no cuntish ads, a couple of hundred channels and the late night naughtiness was truly naughty, not the watery, soft core rubbish of today, which, as you say, goes tits up with the first slightest cloud in the fucking sky.

Telecommunications executives are all top shelf cunts.

A Baird 19" black & white telly from Radio Rentals was best.

I still have a ferguson black and white portable, mains power or you can stick 8 D cell batteries in it, complete with built in coat hanger wire aerial. It's in the loft.

Can you still watch a telly with an analogue metal antenna???

Only with a digital converter between the aerial and the TV. The previous analogue system was switched off in 2012.

Only if you sit in the loft.

First TV I bought when I left home was a Pioneer black and white  portable, the unusual thing with it was that the remote control was a sonic remote, very basic controls and chewed batteries by the dozen......there is an idea that never took off. Cost a princely £12 in 1981 from the NAAFI and I paid it off weekly at a quid a week. Lasted a good 25 years.

The TV is basically the devil’s tabernacle and a conduit for drivel, inanity, depravity and socialist propaganda.

Gone are the days when people spoke to each other, toasted crumpets around the hearth and listened to the wireless.

I can’t imagine anyone ever wanting to speak to you, regardless of the presence of TV - you’re a total wanker.

I would have thought the odd punter and his Nigerian pimp would talk to him occasionally.

For a £12 telly you paid it off at a pound a week for 25 fucking years?!? That's Brighthouse for you.

Don't be an idiot Olly, it only took 12 weeks to it pay off.

And because I am a loyal customer of Brighthouse, they sold me an very good extended warranty for only £300 a year plus vat.

Ah, but look what's replaced those supposedly halcyon days, punkers. The march of progress means we now get to spend our time with like-minded acquaintances on a forum called Cunts Corner, slagging off all and sundry as well as each other. That's what technology has given us, and for that we should be grateful.

Digital has replaced analogue simply so they can see what you are watching.  They can now know what everyone is watching down to the last number of people watching Bill Oddies bird shit programme on BBC 4 at 2.45 am.

ive heard that there is a bit of a resurgence in old phones coming back, to stop hacking.   Apparently analogue phones are way more secure.

as for digital tv.  Well is tv really a thing these days.   I watch you tube on my tv more than BBC.   Porn is readily available for people like Bill Sticker to pollute themselves more frequently.  So it’s not all bad.   Stops him raping boys now by constantly allowing him to knock one out to niche porn on his tv.
