I haven't advocated putting political correctness before patient health and care. I will query a punter's motivation behind a POV though.

I'm sure many views are formed from personal experiences - it would be odd if they weren't.  Now I had a very positive experience with a Spanish hospital locum and a dreadful experience with a eastern European doctor, neither of which has made me have a generalised opinion of each individuals country's training. However, if a punter has a history a racist viewpoints, using racist pejoratives etc then in all likelihood their POV is going to be somewhat questionable.

No apologies due or forthcoming from me, RK. Have you not considered that If an alternative viewpoint is not proffered and hammered home then this site might resemble an EDL/NF offshoot? The alternative is that I say less and strike out considerably more content. The third option is that The Corner is forcibly closed. What would you prefer?

This must be me you are talking about. ..... I note that in the circus all the animals hate the ringmaster because he/she holds the whip. It seems to me that there are times on here that some very questionable points of view push to the fore that “must”  be contended . If only for the very reason given by Roops, to show that we are not a site of nasty Union Jack waving  persecutors of Johnny Foreigner. I don’t mind a lively debate on a site called cunts corner, but sometimes...just sometimes, things have to be reined in. I think punters ...my term originally.... have a pretty good deal. I haven't got a problem with foreign medical professionals purely on a racial basis. What I do have a problem with is the NHS employing members of staff with pidgin English who hold on to cultural attitudes that are anathema to 21st century medical practice.

Saying that, the treatment we received at the end of the process from local, British staff was second to none and they were a credit to the NHS.

Useful tip for next time to avoid another unpleasant and needless trip to A&E:

Make sure whatever the next foreign object your wife is stuffing up your arse is put in narrow end first. It will be easier for her to retrieve it.
