Years ago I found a rather nice ladies watch outside my parents shop, took it to the police station as lost property, went back 2 weeks later to see if it had been claimed or was now mine, the fucking bent bastard copper came out with some shitty Timex worth 20p, I told him point blank that wasn't the watch and told him the make and style etc, never once looked me in the eye and everything he said was muttered and mumbled. Threw it back over the desk to him and told him to nick that one as well, and that the was last fucking time I do anything honest if that's how a local copper is going to behave and walked out.
