  1. Yes, but you initially used the pension market to illustrate your point. Unfortunately the pension market does not work the way you alluded to. A "global slide of 25%" will result in a drop in the total value of the capital, a salient point that you have conveniently ignored.
  2. TBH, I also wanted to pull the chump apart on his take of the construction scene, but I ran the risk of being seen to enjoy myself too much. As for the "poop posting" that was expeditiously dealt with in a process lasting no longer than ten seconds.
  3. Fucking hell. You don't have 25% more buying power, you have less. I take your point about purchasing more units, but that only works if the pension invests solely in a Footsie tracker fund which, if performing above expectations, will cost the same if not more in any case. BIM that if the units are now cheaper then the total value of your investment will have significantly reduced. If however the pension fund is looking for a balanced growth then it will also have to invest abroad especially in emerging markets in which case your purchasing power is less. The "average Joe" is not aware of this 'cos large corporations plan ahead for all eventualities by way of trading on the options market and so protect themselves by hedging. MC, as a right of centre libertarian I welcome your POV and may you continue to exercise your right of opinion to the Brexit debate at The Corner, but sometimes I do wish you STFU as you do more harm than good for the pro-leaver camp. You are the Brexit team's own-goal specialist.
  4. @Ollyboro, I've just removed another comment of yours. You seem determined to include children with learning difficulties into the discourse, what's more you describe them in disparaging terms. Its shit like that can brings unwelcome attention to the site.
  5. Because the implications of the White Paper were not fully realised until a few hours ago. I see you put up a nom which can only have been a cut 'n' paste job gleamed from a Britain Furst (sic) article. Your understanding of the discussion document was spectacularly wide off the mark. In future stick to darts/snooker stories and yet more tales on how you squeezed 400 extra horses into cars you probably never owned.
  6. He's got a point @Iam Ape. Change your avatar please.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you referred to another punter as a "fucking sex case" in addition to your selected words. It strongly implied a Josef Fritzl scenario. Now, take my friendly advice and piss off.
  8. I honestly don't know, RK. Whilst having an agreeable discussion with Wolfie, I happened to mention Bayer in passing which apparently triggered Stubbs to angrily butt in with a tirade culminating in wishing unpleasantness to myself. His behaviour was very Snatch-like.
  9. Presumably then, you have refused all vaccinations and medicines produced by these "evil organisations" for yourself and your family? No, I didn't think so, in that case maybe you should in turn shove your hair shirt up where the sun don't shine. In fact Bayer, BASF et al were partially successful in suing the European Commission. Whilst they accepted that certain selected pesticides could only be used in greenhouse environments, the "evil organisations" were alarmed that the Commission did not make any adequate impact assessment. As is not uncommon, the EU bureaucrats formulated legislation based on one-sided reviews from second rate consultants and "experts" who produced reports on what their paymasters wanted to hear. Incredibly, the Commission's impact assessment concentrated on the likely damage the pesticides could cause but not on any impact that might or might not occur as a result of a pesticide ban. In this respect the EU judicial review agreed with the "evil organisations".
  10. Apparently one person did die and another injured by right-wing nutjobs who followed the "teachings" of the proscribed hate group Thomas and Patatas belongd to.
  11. There are times when I wish the international life sciences conglomerate Bayer marketed Germolene For The Soul for me to dispense to sensitive punters who react badly to firm administrations. Sadly, no mentally soothing balm exists so we now have the spectacle of a barrack-room lawyer writhing in indignation over what should be a minor procedural matter... Why thank you, Wolfie, though in this case no brilliance was needed on my part in determining that you were in clear violation of Rule 12 and the unwritten convention (which is clearly understood by all punters, especially those who have contributed with distinction to the forum for more than two years) that no acceptance is allowed for directly or indirectly made accusations of paedophilia against other CC members. I would also suggest you reacquaint yourself with the final paragraph of the Site Rules.
  12. I edited more than one word. Stop acting like a prat who is butt-hurt 'cos his words were not digitally immortalised. PM me if you still don't get it.
  13. Of course you may enquire, however repeating the item in order to circumvent the rules, rather defeats the object of the exercise, or maybe that was your intention. You could always PM me if you cant figure it out.
  14. The alternative choice was of my feet in greek sandals, a sepia toned nude statue pose, Windmill theatre style or one of my tits. I played safe.
  15. Despite using separate devices and IP's I am now satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that @Gobbles Magoo & @Mike Hunt are one and the same. I'm killing the latter and coolering the former for 7 days. On release I would be grateful if the punter concerned takes the opportunity to read the rules before posting.
  16. @Gobbles Magoo, anyone with half a brain can churn out regurgitated forum insults. They're not original, nor are they clever. I'll cut you some slack 'cos, as far as we know you're new here, but we do not imply, infer or directly accuse punters of noncing. Period. Its also a direct contravention of Rule 12 to go for the LCD insult of making sexual references to members' family and relatives.
  17. I have mixed reservations with this year's Christmas vid - Its Silent Night by Enya without the annoying synthesised choral backing that she is known for. It does show that behind all the electronic sound wizardry the Irish chanteuse does have a good voice. People should know that my husband regards Enya as the second most desirable woman that lives on the face of the earth. Merry Christmas everyone!
  18. Lovely, a cup or two sizes added with out the need of implants.
  19. ...alternatively you could have simply kept your stupid trap shut and have walked away unscathed. Off site for 24 hours.
  20. Well firstly, this £1.7 billion annual cost - is this a net cost and if so, how was this figure arrived at? Secondly, many countries have benefitted from immigration. Wasn't the USA founded by immigrants and continued to grow into the world's most powerful nation through immigration?
  21. I'm not a betting girl, Wiz but the probability of that happening is likely to result in a no way rather than a three way. Nothing against you and yours, but apart from a minor indiscretion with a scandi girl in Palma Nova many years ago I've been resolutely faithful to my wonderful husband. Also, having went through a lipstick lesbian phase at uni, I can assure you that thinking about it is a whole lot different to getting down and dirty.
