CCArchive
The Church of Ireland has appointed its first woman bishop. Rev Pat Storey was yesterday elected as the new Bishop of Meath and Kildare, to succeed Most Rev Dr Richard Clarke, who last December was appointed Church of Ireland primate and Archbishop of Armagh. Rev Storey, is described as a family woman, sincere and an excellent pastor. Of course, for those not interested in ecumenical matters , this is all very tedious, but the anti women priest brigade have launched into full voice. Chief among them the traditionalist queens within the established church itself. I would like to think that the method of selection was more robust than a simple election. I suspect that she arm wrestled the poofy fuckers for it and won.
