The pleistocene era started roughly around two million years ago when Tony Hart was middle aged and still lowly paid. So skint was he that he couldn't afford to have the heating on his house which resulted in an unusual era of coldness. During this era, Hart did all manner of things to keep warm including playing with mud and clay. One day whilst off his tits on acid he played god and made a golem in his own image which he then animated. The results of his godlike fiddling became known as "Morph". Morph captured the imaginations of children throughout Britain and his unearthly influence over them has resulted in weird coloured malleable clay being rubbed into my axminster carpet.
