When I observe a young person, in what I always described as the "outside", NOT with their face BURIED DEEP in a fairy tale screen of fantasy and wishful thinking, I will top myself. Blame the parents? I used to wait outside a public telephone box at a prearranged time to exchange a daily call when I first started dating. Sometimes there was also a bit of loose change left in the box for the taking... Happy days! Less is more.

How do you confuse a millennial?

They certainly have. I believe that ANPR cameras were operational in the 1980's, and look at the quantum leaps in both computing and camera technologies.

In several cities in China they already have fully functioning cctv that reads faces via biometrics. Very few people know that China is basically a petri dish for new ideas to be tried and tested. The globalists fucking love the undemocratic peoples Republic for draconian tech, as the people have no fucking rights!

Within 5 years laws will be passed, and you'll see one on most streets, the tube, railway concourses, airports ect.

Well that was a waste of time and money. Even Chinese people can't tell Chinese people apart.

It's already at airports and major railways stations. Because they're private property it can be installed without consultation. It gets even worse as the next thing under development is gait analysis which detects a person's stride pattern and how they walk so even if you're wearing a mask it will still know who you are if you have previously been recorded by a networked camera.

All of this is supposedly being done to save us from terrorists but we've all heard this shit before. Any hint of a national ID card scheme would result in the government copping abuse from left, right and centre so what they're going to do instead is tag us by stealth then tell us it's for our own good. It won't be long until there's a social credit system as well taking another lead from the yellow sadists.

Terrorists, load of bollocks. They've got thousands of the cunts on watch lists already, but they have fuck all interest in monitoring any of those cunts. Evidenced by the frequent occurrence of one of them going on a stab-happy killing spree. The cameras are more likely there to identify and track vulnerable kids, keeping Chief Constable Nonce-Face supplied with fresh meat.

Filthy fucking corrupt cunts.

I must say after a number of bad experiences I try not to offer a jocular remark to anybody under age of thirty as they don't seem able to handle it without a smacked arse look, abrupt dismissal, puzzled response.

I'm going to be in the freakish minority here, but I don't mind the concept of a surveillance society.  In fact, if we had more CCTV cameras (ones which worked properly and which could get a better capture of faces), which made it easier for the police to determine who had glassed some poor bastard on a Friday night, or who broke into some pensioner's bungalow, I'd be happy with that.  We are still far from the nightmare panopticon scenario where everything is monitored, and (optimistically), I don't think we are ever going to be in that situation.  I appreciate that people don't relish being on close circuit camera, but really, if you are not a drug dealer or a mugger, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

There was a massive furore over CCTV in Kings Cross having facial recognition software added, which completely baffled me.  Unless you are a street dealer or a pimp, why would you worry about having your picture taken in Kings Cross ?

I can't stand the thought of being under constant surveillance. Surely the rights and privacy of individuals need to be guaranteed before total power passes to those who own the tools of surveillance. In the UK, proportional police numbers fall as crime rises, with these fucking things (cameras) being used as a replacement for more vital front-line policing. Other countries with less advanced CCTV systems have lower crime rates. Internet policing already goes some way to fulfilling a surveillance society, surely.

Abso-fuckin-lutely. George Orwell was only a couple of decades out. This 'Covid' population control shit is merely a speculative precursor, designed to quantify the malleability of an already subjugated and brainwashed demographic. The final phase will be the mandatory installation of cameras in every home. And the sheep will not bat an eyelid.

And those who do protest will be denounced by the media as criminals who obviously have something to hide.

If they try to put London in lock down again, I reckon it will go up big time.

Also, we're coming up to August Bank holiday weekend and I reckon they'll try to have an unofficial Notting Hill Carnival. That could be the trigger point.

I predict a riot

Precisely. With the fucking BBC leading the witch hunt. They're already complicit in the project..

BBC daily coranavirus update:

'Another 76 terminal stage 4 cancer patients died from Covid-19 this week.'

I see the BBC have all of a sudden not reporting on the fictional german who was supposed to have abducted the McCann nipper! What a load of old bollocks that was. The Gestapo had "concrete evidence" that he'd done it, but not enough to convict him. How does that fucking work?

The frame-up obviously didn't bear close examination so they were forced to back pedal without actually admitting anything untoward.

The French dont fucking want them so why would they stop them trying to kill themselves in the English channel?

We keep hearing from the do good brigade like Lineker etc. how these desperate people are risking death crossing the channel. All the cunts I’ve seen on TV are in brand new dinghys wearing identical brand new life jackets and I’ve yet to see anyone who looks desperate, hungry or terrified amongst them. Some people, (obviously more cynical than me), might suggest that these fit and healthy young men aren’t the fleeing for their lives wretches the  charity cunts and TV cunts keep telling us we simply must help. There is something seriously wrong with a country that threatens to lock up journalists who are simply filming and reporting on people committing a criminal act, which illegal entry is, yet bends over backwards to help the alien criminals. Bullshit Boris should remember that curbing immigration was one of the big reasons that people elected them with a big majority just a few months back.

Punkers wakes up every night at 4 o’clock precisely in a cold sweat shouting “Why do I need this ‘knob-cam’? Please take it off!” The stupid cunt doesn’t realise that Mr. Mtembe has had an ‘arse-cam’ streaming live HD video to a large screen at the golf club for years.

To me, policing the web for "hate speech" should be lowest on the list of priorities (surely its the job of admins and mods to report this kind of thing ?), and I would prefer to see police resources directed towards a physical presence in areas impacted by crime and anti social activity.  As TF has revealed, it all depends upon who is allowed access to the data, and whether they follow the rules that restrict data usage to very specific purposes.  I didn't realise how vulnerable to abuse the system was.

Contrary to previous comments your average council and supermarket cctv does not automatically record everyone's biometric data. Such highly specialised equipment is used by very few police authorities and even that practice was slapped down by the courts a few days ago. Much misinformation has been written about the Chinese authorities using electronic surveillance in rounding up citizens suspected of carrying covid 19. In fact they were identified by the old tried and tested system of organised street snitches.

We have filthy perves on the internet pretending to be young children and grooming other filthy perves to entrap them and the police and legal system then have to go to a great deal to convict and senses some sad little fuckwit who is probably actually harmless. Of course it is a lot easier with less physical risk  for the police to deal with this rather to actually be out on the street sorting out the oiks, pissheads, crackheads and drug dealers  that are making everyones life a misery.
