Occasionally helpers walk alongside side him and move stones out of his way. He was once turned down by border officials when he wanted to cross to visit a shrine. He said"I am not a politician who requires a passport or visa to visit another country. The government should understand that and give me permission," .Personally I reckon they watched him approach and made a conscious decision there and then.
