I was just clutching at straws, said she wouldn't be offended if I stopped writing, wouldn't give me her number and said she would let me decide when and where to meet as it wasn't her decision. I just told her if she thinks she would be better of with someone else just get on with it. Comparing her to the woman I really want is like comparing Rolf Harris to Rembrandt.

It won't be happening now, I told her where to go. Kept writing bland and lifeless messages to me. Did the write thing, could have turned up to meet her and got the shit kicked out of me by a load of blokes.

She is happy to meet me for a drink, fucks knows what I am playing at.

I more or less have as regards that woman online, I had a cracking result in the football last night though, a 0-1 win in Burnley's backyard but a tough visit of Nottm Forest to come at Saturday lunchtime.

Nothing I can do if she won't reply to messages.

I'm in a crisis as regards getting a woman, I am not giving in just yet though.

She never wrote back, I know she has read the message as being a member it tells you. It was a good effort, it wasn't to be but at least I have saved myself a lot of embarrassment, heartache and god knows what. I have just written to her and asked her outright. It will probably go the way I am expecting and I am playing with fire in a way but you have to fight fire with fire. I would love to meet up with her. The Beatles song 'If I Feel' springs to mind. If she does say no or doesn't reply at least I still have The Beatles and my job, not bad I guess.

Do you think I should just ask her outright and get it over with, at least if she says no I have tried and can move on, right?

On a brighter note a great 2-3 win in the football today, was expecting a crushing defeat. At least something good has come out of a crap day.

I won't ever find myself in this situation as I probably won't live until I am old and won't have any children.

It's been five long years since I was doing it full time, have had the tools out a few times since. I have asked about a promotion at work but looking like a double whammy along with that bird on the dating site.

I am the king of wishful thinking that's for sure. I remember that advert that was on back in the 90's about PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) and that young kid pulls a shirt out of his bag that is dirty and says "Oh no my sandwiches"
