  1. Dr Bateman is a highly qualified economist who specialises in macroeconomics and economic history. She is also a Fellow of Cambridge University so one can safely assume that she's not exactly stupid. Here's the link where La Bateman reveals her thoughts (and all her clothes during a thirty minute vid) on Brexit. No doubt the usual body shamers will proffer their own opinions - yes guys, we all know you all are magnificent physical specimens each with a doe-eyed, pert-breasted, long-limbed blonde beauty hanging on your arm... I have to say I agree with Dr Bateman on some points, the ill-informed negativity surrounding immigration and that the EU can't be blamed for the UK's problems are but just two examples. I also agree that the Brexit process will bring chill winds but only in the short and medium term. I also agree with her that economic uncertainty is caused by Brexit but only up to a point. Immediately after the referendum the Brexit debate should have ended in a country that provides a democratic template for rest of the world. All sides should have worked together to deliver the peoples' vote in order to capitalise the flexibility and benefits of trading independently and being solely responsible for its own decisions. Bateman endlessly regurgitating Remainer debating points is part of the reason the country finds itself in the resulting confusion and uncertainty
  2. That being the case, I'd thought the purpose of the British Museum et al would appeal to your egalitarian principles, that is, a comprehensive collection detailing the history of mankind is freely available to view by all, rich and poor. Incidentally, the latest major expansion of the museum was funded by the Sainsbury family to the tune of £25 million for the benefit of all.

It doesn't usually hide the user agents.
  4. Ms Munchetty is female, married and prior to anchoring news programmes, was a competent financial journalist. You've mentioned her disparagingly on another thread (which has been deleted) so I suspect you have another agenda. I usually give newbies a bit of leeway with a warning if rules are transgressed but in view of a Rule 12 infraction elsewhere and your initial behaviour I'm suspending the account for 48 hours. I suggest you read the rules before uploading posts again.

@Mungo Spudd, last Wednesday you were given a formal warning for a Rule 12 violation so you must be a special type of mong tuber to repeat the offence less than a week later. The good news is you will be suspended for one week so you'll now have more free time to work out as to how you can join Isacunt, who no doubt will appreciate the injection of intelligence into the site's discourse.

It appears this is a Sunni Hadith (see previous posts) which is not part of the Five teachings of Islam accepted by all Muslim branches. Nothing has changed to my previous assertion about a comment written by an Islamic scholar writing some 230 years after Aisha was born. The "words of Aisha" have been passed down by several generations of historians and story tellers, rather much like the stories found in the bible. You need to withdraw your accusation about me being a "lying fucking cunt" and then explain what multi accounts I'm using, no doubt you have evidence?

The "general consensus" is conveniently unattributable but in this case I suspect this is an otherwise random comment seized upon by NF/EDL types used as definitive evidence to support the islamophobic narrative. I was intrigued to read that you were quoting from Islamic teaching, which as you know comprises of five main teachings agreed by all branches of the Islamic faith. I was wondering whereabouts was Aisha's age mentioned in the teachings of Shahada, Salah, Zakat, Sawm and Hajj? I'll give you a clue - it was none of them, 'cos not for the first time you're talking through your arse. Know one really knows at what age Aisha was married or when the marriage was consummated. What is accepted that Aisha married young and consummation took place after her first period - a common practise across the known world of arranged marriages and where life expectancy was low compared to modern times.

Ah, "The Mother of the Believers" It was one of the six Hadith, not the Quran that suggested she was 6 when she married, but other holy books disagree. Maybe you should change your handle to "Don't Know Shit"
  9. Oh, I know what it is, I'm simply astounded that a misogynistic, racist wanker like you would consider himself a "classical liberal". Let me apologise in advance if indeed you experienced an epiphany of sorts in the past few days

    Where did I say that?

    Kasim Khuram

This is where Allah had given permission to The Prophet to marry more than four wives which was forbidden to ordinary mortals. It had nothing to do with sanctioning rape or paedophilia.

The warning was given for a Rule 12 infarction. I deleted a post because you inserted the sobriquet "babysitter" between the fore and surname of a person well known in the public domain. You then went on to accuse him of being a nonce.

Sorry, flogging a dead horse has limited appeal.

I'm not sure that the Quran says anything of the sort. My understanding that amongst other things, Islam expressly forbid sex outside of marriage and so by implication rape and paedophilia. I'm pretty sure it prohibits men having sex with children and the elderly.

@King Billy, not only have I removed one of your posts due to libellous content, I'm also issuing a formal warning. Please acquaint yourself with the site rules before posting again.

    Juan Guaidó

Nothing more pompous than a newby apologising for "injecting some intelligence into the website". This from a punter who not only hasn't fathomed how to get into a competitor bitch & moan site but also admitted difficulty in uploading an avatar, a fairly simple and intuitive process. I'm not sure you've yet understood The Corner's vibe either.

    Juan Guaidó

Not sure why, whilst we can do the due diligence, we can't insist on applicants to submit brain scans, psychometric and intelligence tests. That said, every new intake is derided, some remain at the bottom of the forum food chain, some evolve into big beasts, most settle in between.

    Juan Guaidó

The Ukraine situation is historically a lot more complex than the issues facing Venezuela. I'll try and keep this simple but under the Venezuelan constitution the democratically elected National Assembly can, under certain circumstances, take executive control. Chavez (the previous President) foresaw this eventuality by altering the Constituent National Assembly (which is different body to the National Assembly) in that its' electoral college and candidates were mainly made up with government appointees. The rival Constituent Assembly conferred upon itself supreme power but that does not overrule the constitution. As for your wholly unintelligent comment about manipulated little minds standing 4 square behind a usurper, I'll quote a recent leader comment in The Economist, "And as world leaders pile in for Mr Maduro or against him, they are battling over an important idea which has lately fallen out of favour: that when a leader pillages his state, oppresses his people and subverts the rule of law, it is everybody's business."
  19. Mrs Roops

    Juan Guaidó

At least Juan Guaidó, as president of the National Assembly has some sort of legitimacy. Interesting to note that like Maduro he's appealing to nationalistic pride, holding the Venezuelan flag in one hand and an image of Simón Bolívar "El Libertador" in the other.

Frank has been censured and has received penalties (including bans and being placed in the Mod Q). Some of his infractions were similar to the ones that got you into trouble. The only difference between you and him is that he moves on and doesn't scream about injustice or bleat on incessantly about the people he has issues with.
  21. I was sorry to see him go. Kieth Lard was an original and sometimes very funny. We had to nuke him when he started to upload dodgy narratives and imagery despite several warnings.
  22. That may have been the case when the product first appeared but these days that won't happen. Also the Equity Release provider should have a guarantee not to call on the customer's estate should there be an equity shortfall at the time of death.
