Under the circumstances it seems reasonably that the armed officer was right to shoot a terrorist. Nevertheless in a democracy if a police officer shoots and kills someone it's right that there is an investigation.

There is no significant evidence that Syria poses a major terrorist threat to the UK. More likely is that Islamist radicalisation comes from Saudi Arabia, a country the UK government sucks up to despite its appalling human rights record. Regarding banning Islam that's nonsense, the Soviet Union tried to ban religion and it failed. You can't solve the present problem by repatriation, especially as most of those being radicalised were born here. The last thing you should do if you want to stop young Muslims becoming terrorists is to demonise them and make it clear they are not part of our society.

I'm sorry to hear that, but it doesn't invalidate what I said. A lot of very bad things happen in war and conflict and whether or not you choose to forgive is your personal choice. In the long term there has to be found a way to end the conflict, otherwise the killing and carnage continue, that's all I'm saying.

This is analogous to South Africa, yes Mandela would have been justified in bringing those responsible for heinous crimes to justice, but chose instead the path of reconciliation. I fully understand that it sticks in the craw of some people in Northern Ireland that he became a respectable politician, but the result was a peace, albeit a touch fragile, that largely exists to this day. Difficult situations sometimes require pragmatism, not intransigence or revenge.
