Small provincial town high streets

...Or not so small, this one is Rotherham. If you go down town you find yourself walking among the undead. People walking about unwashed, staring aggressively at each other, clutching cans of lager and talking to themselves clearly gearing up for a morning of shoplifting to fund their smack habit. It is almost pointless going into town to shop anyway as A walk around most small towns leads you to discover a preponderance of Jewellers shops, shoe shops, charity shops and pound shops. Everything else has closed down and is boarded up. In fact so much is boarded up in Pontypool and Newport that the window cleaner might as well be doing his round with an electric sander.
