Guest Gong Farmer Posted September 4, 2016 Report Share Posted September 4, 2016 It's an interesting observation regarding freedoms that whenever a war is thought to retain them we inevitably end up losing some of them. A war's aftermath brings regulation and a loss of liberty, governments introduce ministries and agencies to regulate and controle the populous. It's got to the point now that even freedom of speech is regulated. So given two world wars, a cold war and numerous interjections by the west around the globe how many freedoms do we have now compared to what we enjoyed before. We even have to self censor and watch what we say and how we say it now. It doesn't look as if we've retained any freedom and liberty let alone gained any. Do we even deserve any freedoms and liberties after sitting on our over indulged and entitled arses and allowing what we had to be taken from us or at best relinquished?
