  1. @Witheredscrote, I'm taking you off-site for 60 days for your irresponsible behaviour. Your actions were that of a spoilt brat who is prepared to ruin the enjoyment of others simply because you did not get your own way. For those that missed it, the French fuckwit changed his name and avatar image to a well known academic who has shown to be litigious and was instrumental in having one of our competitor sites to be closed down. As your actions could be construed to be malicious, it may well be that you will not be able to return to the site. In the meantime I have changed back the account name and applied an avatar commensurate to your personality.
  2. Seven likes were awarded to Frank within a period of two minutes, some of the awarded posts written by Frank were posted six days ago. The likes have now been reversed off. Wither's own reputation count has been reset to zero.
  3. Indeed. Clearly it was a painful episode for him. Whether that was down to lost love or loss of control is something only he can tell. I know what I'd put my money on.
  4. ...its the knowing smirk they should be more worried about.
  5. True, this thread is not only a pile of cack, its also quite revealing. One would have thought that anyone fortunate to have a "gorgeous" wife so enamoured with an alpha husband blessed with generously proportioned wedding tackle that she's up for week-long shagathons, would be celebrating the new year celebrations with her rather than being glued to his monitor for hours prior, during and after the new year was cheered in. Or maybe he's just a sad lonely wanker.
  6. You doddery old fool, it was your Welsh business accounts that was splattered with red ink. I'm reliability informed that your bankers had to order another barrel of red ink after printing your last set of bank statements.
  7. I saw this about ten years ago, I remember it more for the original plot. Also seen the poorer American version couple of years ago on Film4 I think.
  8. I dunno judgetwi, it sorta balances out a tiresome old fart who usually hits the site at midnight (presumably when his wife has gone upstairs and doesn't see what hubby gets up to) and who regales us about the contents of his carry-out and Stavros' revolting offerings and does his amalgamation of James Whale and James O'Brien "man of the people/rebel without a clue" act and talks total bollox, yes?
  9. That's been dealt with, it takes a few moments for the servers (we have several) to copy and synch each other. I'll read the rest of the discourse tomorrow when I can be arsed.
  10. @Earl Albert of Ross, I feel a bit guilty about this 'cos you've given me 4 likes this evening. Normally I don't put in an appearance at The Corner on Saturday night as because its usually party night, but with Xmas I have party fatigue so its a night home for me, also having just giggled through the Indonesian gangster gore fest "The Night Comes for Us" on Netflix with my (adult) kids (before that, we also watched Centurion, also on Netflix) I have a need for violence. Albert, for your comfort and convenience I going to rest you for a few hours 'cos you're not contributing much to the discourse and you're making a pratt of yourself. Cya tomorrow.
  11. He unintentionally provides entertainment value. He believes he is a grand fromage but has yet to make the grade as a Babybel.
  12. Technically Cgas hasn't broken any rules, but he does seem obsessed with infidelity issues... ...see what I mean?
  13. The Corner is an odd place to come if you're looking for reality. For me its simply a guilty pleasure, a piece of whimsy, nothing more, nothing less. Well maybe a good scrap now and then.
  14. Kerching! Precisely. To be fair, I understand your scepticism but you work in the public service sector where only chief executives earn serious coin. You also probably just got in a final salary pension, so whilst very secure it will only provide a retirement that is "comfortable", which is subjective to say the least. Initially, I was employed by the public sector, but quickly realised that I did not want to do the same job for the next 35-40 years. I don't consider myself to be any cleverer than you but I know how to apply myself and take calculated risks. I also know what my skill set it is and who pays top dollar for them. Additionally I was prepared to invest time obtaining necessary post grad qualifications.
  15. If all goes to plan, £30k will represent about 45 days of my pension entitlement. The inherited property portfolio, as you are aware, belongs to your better half - bear that in mind when Mrs D finds you surplus to requirements. I would add that I'm reasonably fit whereas you are a chain smoker who indulges in alcohol and drug binges so statistically you will, in all probability, pre-decease me.
  16. All branches of Christianity and Islam is organised religion, communism is an ideology. All have or will be undone by education. This has happened in the western hemisphere, the rest of the world will catch up. Secularism will eventually rule.
  17. Can we leave these sort of cheap insults out please? Like the uproariously funny "bleach" retorts they are only amusing to the people that write them. Decimus should be particularly careful for it would be only another ten years before he is the same age as Stubbs is now and considering he is on record of being less than complimentary to his own wife both in terms of looks and manner I sense trouble ahead in his own domestic situation not helped by him realising that in ten years time he will still have to put in a further two decades of service to his dead-end job before he can collect his pension.
  18. Yeah, and its digital too. Hopefully we'll get on the more secure analogue service.
  19. I understand why you resort to the visceral in order to deflect. As for your analogy, the only blowing I see is a blowhard who clearly is out of his depth. Comparing the pensions market to whatever you have to pay for is erroneous. One is highly regulated , the other is whatever 'phone number you can find in the gents public lavs.
  20. Partly based on RICS latest economic survey. You've told so many porkies lately, you may have forgotten that you are allegedly a chartered surveyor.
  21. It's also the season of goodwill and peace etc...
  22. Well, that explains why your initial analysis so spectacularly wide off the mark. The White Paper was not published until three days ago. Back of the net!! (O.G. Cunt.M)
  23. Perhaps you should read more than the headlines. You don't say what quarter was the best for 17 years. Now its true there was a massive increase of new starts but this was artificially stimulated by the now discredited taxpayer-funded "help to buy" scheme. As you know, house-builder CEO's trousered obscene amounts of bonuses simply for turning up for work. Persimmon CEO Jeff Fairburn resigned his post over the furore of his £75 million bonus. There are red flags in the construction industry that suggests things are not as rosy as they first appear. In London, half the luxury apartment newbuilds (a reliable barometer for future business investment indicators) of the proceeding 18 months remain unsold. The reasons for this are unclear; Brexit uncertainty is a factor but also the Chinese buyer market has collapsed, due in part to Beijing clamping down on Renminbi leaving China for anything other than commercially strategic investments. Apparently shopping for a nuclear power station abroad is OK, buying a condominium is not so OK. Factor in the fact that the retail, office space and manufacturing unit rents are going southwards, whilst warehousing is on the up (temporarily IMHO) and we have a further understanding why The Corner's Retard in Residence is in no position to call other punters a "fucking idiot".
