CCArchive Posted August 16, 2014 Report Share Posted August 16, 2014 Once upon a time these programmes were hosted by people with a real knowledge of the subject in a way that most ordinary hobby gardeners understood .. Percy thrower was a good example along with Geoff Hamilton .. not too bright, rarely if ever funny and certainly not smartarses. but they knew how to till the soil. These days the programmes seem to be hosted by failed rock stars, photographers and evangelists who have no real connection with the average cottage garden or allotment.
