Therein lies the nub of the problem - you chortle when I crack the whip against punters you don't like yet when I call you to task you moan about democracy, earning respect and being humour deficient. Now you may think that I'm a power crazed pre-menopausal bitch who forgot to take her HRT meds but actually I try to be impartial which is fine to all - most people accept that and take my judgments on the chin, a few turn out to be stroppy little divas. No doubt the welcoming committee will add yet another notch to their keyboards. Bullying, especially of newbies, is a problem and it is going to stop. The site needs to grow. Newbies are precious little seedlings who need nurturing and time for them to grow roots and develop thorns before they can flower in the stony ground that is The Corner. Overworked analogies aside I'm just a gardener and will prune where necessary.

You quoted the "Je sius" phrase before and I queried whether you thought the newbie bullying was a form of censorship in itself. Totally oblivious to the irony of the situation you rather lamely replied that, "if someone feels bullied by it, then they should not be posting here". I suspect that you and the usual suspects of the CC bully-boy pack do it simply 'cos you enjoy it rather than provide any Darwinian service. I take on board that that you cannot "submit to [my] demands" so naturally you being a man of principle and a brave internet warrior of free speech you will no doubt wish to fall on your cyber-sword and not post here again. I have always maintained that one should shoot the message and not the messenger. I realise that for some of you the idea of providing a thoughtful, witty and insightful counter argument to a POV is a lot harder than simply telling someone to "fuck off" or variations thereof but the bullying, especially to newbies, has got to stop.
