I could have gone on to ask why their racial origins are relevant, but I assumed it was self-evident that it was in part the reason I asked. So far I haven't got an answer, just indignation that I should dare to ask. Come to think of it I could also ask why the assumption that the bloke being an arshole was the girl's pimp, which presumably implies that she is a prostitute.

It's not just Liverpudlians though is it, there's something in our psyche that likes a bit of "national grief". Think back to when Diana died, sad yes, but the weeping and wailing from people who had never met her was OTT surely. I actually had gigs cancelled at short notice because apparently people were too upset to go out and listen to music.

Regarding the "right sense of humour for this site" stuff, this is relevant to the treatment of new members. Yes I agree that anyone joining a forum called cuntscorner shouldn't expect posts about how to arrange pretty flowers, but that doesn't mean they should be subjected to a torrent of abuse from the start. What you're really saying is that they don't fit in with your clique.

Your stance is inconsistent, one minute you complain that moderation is draconian, the next you complain about people being allowed back. You have pushed it and then some in the last couple of days, but you're still here. Decimus is still here if he wants to be, but for a little while at least we're going to have a look at what he intends to post first. Unless it's particularly unreasonable or offensive the post will be approved. What I see going on at the moment is an attempt to play divide and rule with the moderating team and it's not going to work.
