  1. I think I've met a few of them, although mercifully none of them had a drum kit.
  2. Some years ago I was in a cafe in Llandudno when Mrs and Mrs Hooray Henry came in. Having looked through the menu they complained to the waitress that there wasn't a Full English Breakfast. The Full Welsh Breakfast was of course the same thing, what did they think they were going to get, laverbread with leaks?

    Dave's Shed

I wonder what his book is going to be called. How To Shoot Yourself In The Foot Just Like Me Despite An Expensive Private Education maybe?
  4. I suppose it's a bit like people who say "Brexit means Brexit". Although of course that's Strong and Stable government.
  5. Example 4. Punkape. Meaning nothing at all. Now still meaning nothing at all, but suggestive of a tediously repetitive homophobe who is demonstrating increasingly dubious sexuality himself.
  6. Fair enough, but you could argue that getting rid of the gigantic white elephant that is Trident would buy an awful lot of doctors, nurses, social workers etc.
  7. ISIS Business Solutions have sponsored him for the past 14 years, well before the terrorist group used the name.

    DRESSAGE.

I don't like horses, they're dangerous animals. I don't understand their mindset, why would such a fast and powerful animal be so neurotic and skittish. It takes almost nothing to spook them.
  9. Yes, just to be clear the ISIS badge refers to "Isis Business Solutions", his sponsor.
  10. The actual information about Lauren Harries is well documented, nevertheless given that one of the photographs is of a child and given the nature of some of the abusive personal comments made here, which relate to what she is not to what she has done, I agree that there could be a problem. Under the circumstances I think it would be prudent to draw this topic to a close.
  11. Margarine is not a word you'll see much on supermarket shelves in the UK now. What was once margarine tends to be called "spread", "dairy free spread" or just a marketing name like "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter". FYI I can believe it's not butter.

    Turkish politics

Oh do piss off! Really? Forbidding the use of condoms helps stop the spread of HIV/AIDs does it? I sometimes wonder what planet you are on.
  13. Lauren Harries is not an albino.

    Dyson

You haven't said what you're looking for, but it might be worth checking this place out. http://www.appliancespareswarehouse.co.uk/dyson-vacuum-parts
  15. I also haven't used Windows at home since XP. In the last few years I've been using Linux Mint, before that Suse, Centos and Mandrake. Distros like Mint are easy to use, although it still helps if you know a bit about what's going on "under the bonnet". Earlier ones were hard work at times, I never did get sound to work properly on Mandrake 9.
  16. Stop voting for the Tories who caused it in the first place.
  17. Yes, but that's why Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader by the party membership. Not because he's a natural leader, but because he's real Labour - the one thing you can't say about him, unlike Blair, is that he's just the same as the Tories. If the likes of Bevan and Atlee were around today they would have the same problems as Corbyn and the Tory press would be out to destroy them. The one thing they didn't have to contend with is an electorate too obsessed with Brexit and immigration to have any sort of vision of a fairer society. The Tories are destroying the NHS and the welfare state created by post WW11 Labour and the electorate are too obsessed with Europe to notice or care.

    The Boat Race

Time for a clip from The Corner's favourite selly telly person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjMAqDVgQbE Marina Berry with Peter Simon - Cox.
  19. It seems that Wonga has been hacked resulting in the personal details of around a quarter of a million punters being leaked, mainly in Britain and Poland. Not content with screwing you for outrageous amounts of interest your name, address, bank details etc are now in the hands of unidentified criminals. Probably would have been better to stick with Dr Savani.

    Pakistan

It's certainly true that the British partition of India was a very bad idea, but the notion that Islamist terrorism wouldn't exist without Pakistan is nonsense.
  21. Back in the days when Wonga were flooding TV advertising with those cute pensioner puppet adverts they were charging almost 6,000% interest.
  22. No it's not especially fun, it looks like the electorate will give more power to May rather like turkeys voting for Christmas. Labour will survive because other than in Scotland it's still the only show in town. The white working class have not "all jumped ship to UKIP". As a party UKIP is very much on the way out, their only MP has defected and they still can't find a plausible leader to take over from the buffoon Farage. In essence UKIP consists of Farage, a fag, a pint of beer and nothing much else.
  23. To quote Tony Benn, Labour is not a socialist party, but it has quite a lot of socialists in it. For all its faults it's still the only viable alternative to May's Tories. UKIP are pointless after the Brexit vote and Clegg blew it for the LibDems by losing almost all their MPs. The LibDems would be very well placed to harvest the 48% of remain voters right now, but their credibility is shot after propping up Cameron's right wing Tory government and reneging on their biggest election pledge - to oppose increases in student fees, having touted for student votes extensively on University campuses during the election.
  24. Probably still cheaper than Wonga at their worst.
