Moorland Arsonists

So people have been spotted deliberately starting fires on grassland near a major fire on moorland around Winter Hill. The best option to deal with these cunts would be to  prevent them from from leaving the vicinity of the fires that they have started. Total and evil cunts. At one time being convicted of arson would have bought the death sentence or a life sentence. These days it is often treated almost as a minor offence and in the few cases where indefinate sentences have been imposed on highly dangerous people found guilty of setting fires snowflakes campaign for the offenders release. Arsonists are extremely dangerous people and they sould be locked away for a very long time and only ever released under licence.

Moor than likely gamekeepers, shooting types and their lackeys. If they can't have it as their fiefdom to shoot grouse then no cunt can, good forbid any wildlife or trees.

They should send Ian Botham up there to roll his massive gut and chins on it.

Yet again your appalling record with the English language provides unintentional entertainment.

This play on words would have been mildly amusing if it was intentional and not a result of moderate brain damage.

You stupid fucking Mooron

lol.

TBH the area around Winter Hill is not "grouse country". There are likely to be dead of night serial killers burying their victims visiting, but any cunt who dares to venture up their with anything resembling a gun will be quickly surrounded by a GMP armed response team and a few days later the usual "he was a great dad." report will appear in the Manchester Evening News.

More like the ghost of Jimmy Savile, rubbing two cub scouts together to create a fire.

That's how these twisted cunts work.

Winter Hill is Lankyshire not Savileshire

They're trying to fight fire with fire. Never a good idea.

If they are a fire brigade, this technique is of use, but as you said, dangerous.  By starting the peripheral fires, they are taking away fuel from the main blaze, in an effort to contain it then completely extinguish it.  If these cunts aren't trained firefighters, then it's explosive tipped crossbow bolts for the lot of them.

I can't imagine many games of pool are currently being played around Manchester with this lot keeping them busy and LadyPs' cat will have to stay up the tree.

Guest Couldn't give a shit

I can see the plume of smoke from the Winter Hill fire from my office window. I used to take my dogs over that way when the were alive.

I hope the fucking prick behind this is found and subjected to the blood eagle while being doused in brake fluid. Fucking scumbag.

Yes, but the area where the fire spread was moorland being "restored" to grouse moor which is managed through burning to encourage new heather growth. Peat lands that have been drained and where natural succession of vegetation is impossible, will become dry as a bone and accidents waiting to happen. Ripe for some tweed clad fuckwit or their minions to put a match to it and prevent it once and for all becoming an upland birch-oak wood.

The single most effective way of reducing the massive co2 emissions from these man made uplands is to restore their hydrology, and thus the vegetation

What a load of shit. Back in the heat wave of 1976, me and mates set fire to fucking everything in site.   There was no 24 hour tv with pop up cunt celebrity specialists.  This weeks interviewees has been an ex fire officer, cunt.  An ex police officer, cunt and Environment Agency officer, what afucking cunt.    They poured over footage and what damage it had done to about 3 acreas of shit boggy desolate moorland, fucking none.   No body used to give a shit. Indeed farmers used to burn their old crops down as a way for fertilizing the ground.  Banned now in this brave new world of being able to do fuck all.  Ever.

MC, you thick cunt, the fire burned on compacted, dry peat which without decades worth of clearing, grazing and draining would be impossible to set alight to. I'm calling deliberate arson by disgruntled game keepers and the elite who employ them. The world is finally waking up to what a destructive practice heather burning for grouse shoots and sheep grazing to harvest subsidies is in our uplands, and these cunts can't handle the overwhelming scientific facts. In 20 years our uplands will be predominantly covered in native woodland and we won't believe the cuntish things that used to go on.

Err stubby.... last time I looked, the bog people of Ireland “burn” dry peat as an everyday fuel.  It has very high methane qualities.   So why would it be impossible to set fire to?

i do get your point about game keepers and the elites wanting to burn heather and change the landscape.  However again your stop the clock attitude to environmental issues is letting you down. Why protect the heather, it hasn’t been that for very long.  You say you want to protect the heather as if not it will turn into natural woodland.   Well errrr it was woodland before the people chopped all the trees down in the 11th to 16 th century.  Indeed the morelands of Saddleworth were forest until the intervention of man, and sheep and the need for timber to fuel industry in the early years.

A good fire every now and then does wonders for the ecology anyway as it helps the ground and also kills any weak and feeble animals.  We should have a fire purge on here every now and then.

ive got the matches, you bring the petrol.

Quite surprised that old Stubbly missed this. Peat is still burned as fuel in some parts of the UK .. its use is discouraged but people living close to peat bogs and mosses will often cut blocks of peat and leave it to dry. It burns slowly but in a suitable stove it is good enough to work a central heating system and of course if you can get it for free it is worth the effort.

I think you've grabbed the wrong end of my dog shit stick MC.

You can't burn a natural peat bog for obvious reasons- it's wetter than Neil's wank sock. Neither can you burn a native broadleaf woodland as again they contain too much moisture. If you left our uplands and took away the grazing, they'd revert to scrub then natural forest like you correctly suggest. Burning of heather is to encourage new growth- food for grouse that toffs like to shoot at a couple of grand a day. I hope it'll be banned in the future and the aforementioned natural succession will take place. Our uplands as they are (much of them national parks...) hold very little biodiversity compared to the potential, exasperate flooding and release tons of co2 through drying and burning. Many conservationist love these areas and fetishise the stark open nothingness of the sheep grazed wastelands, as biodiversity continues to plumme, on their watch.

Terrific sock reference !

i agree about the toff shooting and miss management of the moors.   If there were a bit more variety and natural woodland was allowed to spring back, there would be far more places to bury bodies and go dogging.  Both considered local pastimes in Saddleworth.
