It was mentioned that Andrewes had performed well in some of the jobs and had in one case slightly bettered a "qualified" candidate in one interview, which raises the question why in some case are the "qualifications needed (along with the very high salaries) for what are often posts that do not require highly qualified individuals anyway. We have NHS trusts being run by GPs and other medical professionals who would be better employed actually treating patients rather than being wasted on admin duties.
