  1. The security of the "free world" depends on self-obsessed narcissists like this? God help us.
  2. 1604, according to their website; difficult to believe as none of the buildings is listed. I love the stylish jacobean UPVC windows. It looks an ideal venue for corporate "away-days" and sales conferences.
  3. Surely her parents should be paying this?
  4. It's a bit of a non-event, as devastating as a light aircraft crash spread over a hundred miles. The chance of any harm is minuscule.
  5. In this country anything French(ish) gets a coat of lime-wash and goes on sale to dim yuppie bints. It's the feminine equvalent of man-cave shit,
  6. It's not the lack of good stuff but the lack of variety. Just table after table of baby clothes and twenty year-old electonic tat. Most of the early business is the traders selling shit to each other. I suppose junk sales may buck up a bit now that Ebay's fucked up its payment system.
  7. The weather and the lifting of the regulations means the resumption of this stange social phenomenon. This used to be an amusing way of spending a Sunday morning, but the attics of the middle-classes must now be bare. The commonest offerings are now broken toys and baby clothes; the crowd mainly sly-looking Eastern Euopeans and grotesquely fat women.
  8. He's very quiet isn't he? The thick ones usually announce their arrival with a cornucopia of nonsense across several diferent topics.
  9. This twat has far more problems than mere Catholicism, he makes even less sense for a start.
  10. Bloody hell! I'd heard the Methodists had modernised things a bit but...
  11. That's the problem, the rest of the country is infested with a diaspora of arsehole Londoners who don't seem to realise how unwelcome they are.
  12. He is a victim. His unwanted "behaviours" are rooted in the endemic postcolonial racism of our society and it is we who should be apologising for making him a sex pest.
  13. He'll bring a welcome touch of diversity. We should cherish nutters like this; The Province needs a new and totally unhinged fom of bigotry.
  14. Traditional subjects in higher education involved improving the lot of humanity (sciences) or making them happier (arts) and all had the effect of bringing people together. The new subjects seem just to be about making people hate each other.
  15. In the English way, by not making a fuss about it. Populist nationalism is the preserve of younger, emerging, nations, less secure in their traditions. This means that we are quickly forgetting what being "British" means (whether myth or reality). We need to regain some form of patriotism but American-style flag worship won't work for us. We need more public information films like this: The grandchildren of the people at these pubs will have been forced out of picturesque villages by "downsizing" urban arseholes, forced to live in starter homes, built on filled-in refuse tips. The pubs will serve over-priced gastrocrap to yuppies, whose only connection to rural life is the collection of tools that they hang on the wall. The Welsh lads had the right ideas about second homes fifty years ago.
  16. I just have. The term "left-footer" originated among navvies, are you descended from them?
  17. It's very useful stuff. It improves golf courses no end.
  18. For making concrete. What else?
  19. I had one of those, an estate, someone gave it to me. It reminded me of the Farina bodied A40, but 40 tears on and cruder. I swapped it for ten quid and a cement mixer.
  20. The patrols were required to salute the drivers of vehicles carrying a members' badge. No salute was taken as a warning of police speed traps.
  21. Wow! I can't compete with that kind of repartee. Are you related to Childish?
  22. With the sun-roof open you could pass a joint to the passengers. It was a very civilised mode of transport. Motorcyclists wave to each other, sidecar drivers stop and make a cup of tea.
