I can't see a solution to this. I don't appreciate paying tax so that irresponsible people can churn out unwanted kids because they can't be arsed to use contraception or work to pay for them. The problem is that it's the kids who will suffer from benefit cuts, not the chavs sitting around on their arses smoking fags all day watching The Jeremy Kyle Show. Kyle is a hypocrite, if the people he berates really did get a job and "put something on the end of it" he wouldn't have much of an audience left. Plus with two failed marriages and a history of gambling addiction which left his first wife in debt he is is no position to judge other people.

There is a sort of delicious irony here though, they very strongly want to remain British and they very strongly want to remain part of the EU. Unfortunately there is no obvious way they can have both.

I'm not sure I would discriminate against older people wearing trainers, the fact is that if you wear these dreadful things all day long however old you are they stink and so do your feet. I don't wear trainers, rubber and feet is not a great combination.

The thread about the attacks last Wednesday contained some pretty unpleasant and obnoxious Islamophobic posts. Nevertheless despite the predictions of those who appear to know more about what I'm likely to do than I do, I didn't remove any of them although I challenged them, which as a member of this forum I'm entitled to do. Despite my misgivings about this thread, that it would become just another vehicle for Islamophobic posts, some valid points have been made, even if I don't necessarily agree with them. I seldom agree with May, but the reality is that the terrorists are not winning. The terrorism related deaths which have occurred are tragic, but the reality is that they haven't had a significant strike in the UK since 2005. Why would you want to tell them they are winning when they are not? As I said before they will win if we let them set the agenda, otherwise they wont.

Has it ever occurred to you that this kind of response is exactly what the terrorists want? They want to divide us, divide our communities, they want conflict and war on the streets and the crap posted on this thread plays right into their hands. Why do you think they do it? When these kinds of atrocities happen there is always a call to "do something", in reality there is little anyone can do other than carry on, be vigilant and not let them set the agenda, not let them win or as Churchill once said "keep on buggering on".
