I would evict the current squatters. As long as the frontage is kept in its current state, mugs can still turn up and look at it, (mugs still turn up at the Tower of London and they stopped imprisonment, torture and hangings some time ago) there is no reason why it should not be sold off to a developer. Good location for a hotel, adequate parking etc. The splendid gardens can be part of Hyde park so the public can have something back. As for Houses of Parliament, it should be handed to English heritage and all of the money from the Buckingham Palace sale can pay for the essential work that needs doing. A lottery grant could top this up if needed. Maintenance thereafter will be funded by mugs who also pay to turn up and look at the fucking thing. The politicians can have a few porta-cabins and a burger van, more than adequate for their needs

If things go tits up in said elections for pro Europeans and the end of the EU looks likely, then our government might get its fucking act together and do what is right by democratic mandate. Until then, the courts are going to legislate that we remain very much in. Theresa May looks as ineffective as John Major and Gordon Brown put together.
