  1. I don't know if you were around in the days of the old forum, but trust me there was a lot more than offensive jokes going on there including threats, albeit empty threats, from idiots claiming they were going to track us down and variously report us to the police, take legal action or send "my friends from the dark web" round. Regarding voting Lib Dem, the only time I did that was when Bliar (sic) decided to help little Georgie screw up Iraq and make it the land fit for ISIS that it is today. Prior to that I was a Labour Party member, voted Labour again when Ed Miliband was leader and will continue to do so now Jeremy Corbyn is in charge.
  2. Strictly speaking you have only two.
  3. It's a long story. I've told it before and indeed it is a bit boring now as it pertains to past events, so I'll spare you the explanation. Not that you wanted to know anyway.
  4. Well Frankie to the extent that I'm just about the only person here who hasn't told you to fuck off and kill yourself, maybe I'm not.
  5. It wasn't me who shoehorned the guitar into this thread, it was you. Regarding amps, clearly all guitars will sound a bit different depending on what they're played through. The point of the AV6HGW is that it's not an expensive guitar at all, I paid about £270 for mine.
  6. Er... no Mike, it's a guitar not a political statement. It's my Vintage AV6HGW, the Geoff Whitehorn signature model. Rather like certain politicians, it's a bit more or a bit less white depending on the circumstances. The colour is Trev Wilkinson's recreation of a colour used by Fender on early 60s Jaguar and Jazzmaster guitars. In daylight it's a sort of pale cream colour, under bright stage lights, it's pure white. Still what you are dying to know is what does it sound like. Well here's Geoff playing it.
  7. Presumably, brain box, you mean James O'Brien. I'll accept the complement, he's very good at exposing gross stupidity and taking apart the ridiculous arguments of the likes of Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson. Yeah I think my new role on The Corner may well be as the forum's James O'Brien.
  8. Is it a good thing? Maybe. Is it a bit PC? Quite possible. On the other hand this year's lineup is depressingly conservative (small c) and quite retro, so maybe something pushing the boundaries a bit isn't so bad. It also reminds us that Syria and Syrian people are about more than war, more than ISIS, more than refugees. Most people, including me, probably didn't even know there was a Syrian National Orchestra.

Her glasses will live on forever though.
  10. And that is as a good an example of a post of profound stupidity as you are likely to find.
  11. Blair should STFU and concentrate on what he does best, getting even more stinking rich. He's part of the problem not part of the solution. Regarding your crap about "glassing over the Middle East" what are you proposing? Taking all the Muslims in The Middle East to a non-alcoholic bar and assaulting them with a glass of Barbican?
  12. If you've outgrown Radio One BBC 6Music is a better idea than going to Radio Two.

Well it's probably not significantly more difficult than making a bacon butty with butter, but no bacon.

    Paul McCartney

    Thank you, that's very kind.

There wasn't. In 1992 a number of her Country Pies were found to contain meat. Most probably it was the result of deliberate sabotage. As a result at least 700 pies were recalled. She never said she made the food herself and it's always been debatable as to what extent they are based on the food she herself cooked. At the time they were made by Ross Young. Probably the worst thing about the original Linda McCartney range is that they were full of hydrogenated fats, especially the sausages. Once regarded as a good thing because they are vegetable based, it's now widely accepted that they are the worst possible fats health wise, far more likely to clog your arteries than butter, lard etc.

Sounds fun, sadly I didn't get an invite.

As I recall Catwoman wasn't very fond of me, I can't imagine why because I'm great. As far as I know she hasn't been on the new combined forum and was a poster on the old main posting board but never the old forum, so if she was banned by "Admin" it would have been the previous Admin. I was never an administrator on the old main posting board and moderators could only issue a 24 hour ban. I never banned Cat or anyone else much. The only accounts I ever deleted were that troll Eggybreath who was doing the site over time and time again by filling the latest posts section with bollox.
  18. Well the stupidly named "Brexit" is certainly relevant. This has very little to do with IDS suddenly getting a conscience about screwing the poor and disabled in order to give tax cuts to the already well off and lots to do with shafting Cameron over his pro-EU stance, plus his personal dislike of the obnoxious Gideon. Osborne using his budget speech to make the case for staying in the EU was probably the final straw.
  19. Yes she is and she could have easily disappeared off to a place of safety, but that would have been what the Taliban wanted - to shut her up.
  20. The moral of the story, make sure none of your mates speak Thai before introducing them to your wife. If he understands สามีของฉันมีอวัยวะเพศขนาดเล็ก you're in trouble.

There are some old chestnuts coming out of the woodwork here. I don't wish to spoil your fun, but they are completely wrong now just as they were the first time around. Still as they say old conspiracy theories never die, they just mutate over time.

Well now if you had said water into real ale I would have assumed that you are Nigel Farage.

    Andrew Marr

Why would I want to trash a place and get away with it? I mean is that normal behaviour? If I did would it make me suitable to be Prime Minister, Chancellor of The Exchequer or London Mayor?
