The rest of the time PTSD is made up bullshit, people with depression just need to cheer up and smile more, and people with bi-polar disorder probably just smoked too much cannabis at some point. I'm in no real position to judge Alexander Blackman's behavior, but the ugly boner that ex-forces types and general right wing gutter filth have at the moment, simply for seeing him get totally let off the hook, is pretty disgusting. Blackman gave us a rare glimpse into the chaos and confusion of warfare before it is sanitised, packaged up and narrated by fecking Simon Schama. If you are cheering in public because Blackman got away with it then you are doing no more than helping ISIS recruit more impressionable young lads. Apparently at his court martial, when the verdict was given and he was dismissed all the top brass stood up and saluted him (properly, not pongo style), essentially saying they condone his actions and would have done the same. My former boss, the owner of the security firm I worked for was a member of the 22nd SAS in the late seventies through the eighties, he told me that the SAS don't salute anybody except Gurkhas.
