The blame for what happened falls squarely on David Cameron, he thought he could get both UKIP and the Tory Eurosceptics off his back once and for all. So confident was he that remain would win that he made the ridiculous promise that he would enact Article 50 the day after the referendum if Brexit won. It went horribly wrong and bit him on the arse and he ran for it rather than face the consequences.

Jeremy Corbyn was between a rock and a hard place on this one. Socialists such as Jeremy and Tony Benn have generally been critical of the EU on the reasonable grounds that it's undemocratic, things happen we have not voted for. Nevertheless there was no way he could campaign on a pro-Brexit ticket because that would mean throwing his hat in with UKIP which stands for everything he despises. In the end he opted for the best he could do, fairly honestly saying he was 7/10 in favour of remain, which was pretty much my position, on the grounds that the EU could be a force for good if left-wing elements united such that it became a social alliance instead of a cartel for big business.

I don't agree. Frank Field and Kate Hoey had the intellectual capacity to stand with their long held beliefs. I think Corbyn's leadership situation within his own party was the real issue. If he stood by his principles he would be in a much stronger position now. All that awaits him is his P45 at the 2020 general election.

Although I disagreed and disliked Tony Benn, he was a man of principle, unlike JC who thought he must back remain despite not believing in the EU. He was not in between a rock and a hard place, but should have campaigned in what he believed in. He read it wrong, sold his principles and is now a laughing stock. He obviously didn't despise UKIP that much as he agreed with their main objective, however was too much of a coward to see it through. The anti establishment labour leader could have been the voice of brexit and a real alternative, but ended up just shitting his pants.

Well we've had 20 odd years of extreme left. All there is to show for all this hard work is a nation of Muslims, faggots and down trodden white British people. Also a minority of British white traitors.

Fuck dignitas that's for old people.

What a fucking load of wank, no we haven't. Murdoch has you by the balls Daily Mail/Sun reader! You are a traitor to humanity.

Farage and UKIP are completely irrelevant now their main raison d'être of fooling the electorate into voting leave has been fulfilled. I'm looking forward to the nasty, close minded idiots disappearing from the political landscape BNP style.

Trump is no fool, his PR stunt meeting with Farage aside, he'll have nothing more to do with the vile, pompous, egotistical toad. He knows that if he wants to do business with the UK he'll have to go through the organ grinder, not the organ grinder's monkey's flea.

A pathetic, cringeworthy display from a completely obscure non-entity who can't even get himself elected to parliament.

How dare you suggest I watch TV for Jeremy Kyle type audiences. My news comes from everywhere, until I put the tin foil hat on again.

I love the man, and trump, what I find amusing is the liberal left explaining that the only reason trump was elected was that Hillary was so terrible, no its was because people agreed with Trump.

People who agreed with Trump will be sorely disappointed, he's already backtracking on several issues. His "no more Muslims allowed in" has disappeared from his website and old-timer Washington elites have been appointed to key posts - hardly "draining the swamp".

Trump has to soften a little now he has the top seat.

The world is a strange place. I do sometimes wonder what would have happned if Labour had won the 2010 election. Labour would have still pushed through ESA reforms (they after all started them The professional "disabled" (but in truth mostly fully able) protesters would have still been on the street. The Labou government would have been doing some kind of workair and pushing the unemployed into finding jobs. Fiscal policy and financial recovery would probably have been better but the Millie Tants would still have not been happy and a hard Labour Brexit core would probably been pushing for a vote on eu membership.

was the 2010 one the one labour lost because Scotland got all whingey about the results of an independence referendum they voted on and voted for SNP instead so they could complain even more when the rest of the country didn't vote for a silly party?

That was a factor. The Nats in their various forms have done the most damage to Labour and as a result have empowered the Tories. In truth whilst the Nats claim to be "socialist" their actual voters tend to be from both left and right so the term "National Socialist" is probably what they truly are as indeed much of their actual agenda is right wing.

The liberal elites have had there chance and failed miserably. They should have tried harder to enslave and force the masses into a multicultural disgusting society. Its going to be funny watching them squirm as nation by nation turns populist. Makes you wonder why dictators murder their opposition. If ever there was an opposition who deserved death. Treacherous & traitorous liberel elites would. Were living in exiting times.

It's scary to think we had to get threatened with millions of "Syrian" refugees and pushed so close to nuclear armageddon before people finally had enough. It shows how far the left had people fooled.

I don't think anyone will take Labour seriously again until they get rid of Corbyn. He's a totally uncharismatic weirdo and clearly not very popular within his own party either. Cunt expects congratulations for using the train like the disgusting plebs but then prances around in fur coats when he thinks no one is watching. Fake bastard.

both of these ideas would never happen, basically due to most leftie factions hating each other as much as they hate the right wing, and big business will, just about, always win.

True, Corbyn and his acolytes always sold him as a man of principle, and showcased half his previous life as a shining example of the true commie, until he gets some power and then his principles can fuck right off..

  1. Yep, they are now irrelevant, Farage won his main aim.  However there are a lot closed-minded idiots on both sides.
  2. True, Farage has no role whatsoever in the UK govt, half of this shit is the media trying to fuck him over because "they lost".  They'll struggle to fuck over Trump, but they might manage little Nige... a woman scorned..
  3. Yes, I did have a reasonable amount of respect for him, he campaigned on one issue and won, then he retired. All fine and upstanding.  Then the stupid cunt shook hands with Trump...

It's what was always said, he won't get away with half what he said in campaign.  As soon as he was Elected, his mood, speech and tone did a volte-face, he became a serious politician from that first speech.
