SKY News lost no opportunity in showing particularly buff barely 18 year old girls (who clearly had spent five hours doing themselves up) picking up their results. There are some very good one day courses run by the likes of Jessops and LCE and a few other organisations doing wedding photography courses (a subject where in depth knowledge of how a camera and light works and which will leave you with enough knowledge to work in other photographic fields, yet even the longest of these courses only last a month. There is nothing wrong with the concept of learnng by doing an "apprenticeship" with an experienced professional photographer working out in the field but a year or more in the classroom will be of little benefit.
