Another Two Minute Silence

Considering we only had 8 public holidays planned in this country in 2020 (and one of those was purloined by the D-Day Anniversary last year) you would think there was scope to create at least one extra with a National Day Bank Holiday - as they have in many other countries - on which we could have the space and time to pay proper respect to those who have contributed to the country and any special occasions like the D Day Annivesary or anything else that crops up, be it military or civil. Since there are two Bank Holidays in May, shifting one of those to August (so you get two long weekends during the school holidays) and substituting the aforesaid National Day in the first week of June every year, would seem to make sense.

But I would also advocate an extra Bank Holiday in November around the time of Remembrance Sunday and the preceding family/religious remembrance.

Just trotting out a minute silence here, or a two minute silence there, is like everything else in this country: a FAKE. Remembrance on the cheap.

You're a blithering fucking idiot, and no cunt here takes a blind bit of fucking notice of the shite that spews forth from your jizz encrusted lips.

Fuck off to mums net or some other piss weak forum where you can converse with other dull fuckers and tin foil wearing gaylords.

You clearly have a gob shite attitude towards anything that moves this country to a more civilised condition. One of the reasons EU citizens laugh at us. You.

Another Saturday, another one minute (two/three minute? nobody's sure) slicing across the traditional footie kick off time.

If we had a "proper" head of state, instead of the imposed out-of-date mountain of shit which is the British monarchy, the whole palaver we've witnessed and endured over the past week would have been modestly and respectfully restricted to a largely civil family arrangement. As it is the complete OTT campaign by the media (in particular the Licence Salt Tax funded BBC) which we can only surmise is a dry run rehearsal for the passing of the Queen herself at some point in the near future, has had the double effect of

# a backfire: turning off initially sympathetic mildly interested people into raging republicans by annoying them to bits. Any liking for Phil the Greek has been exploded by the constant brainwashing message about Phil being such a likeable guy. It grates, except with the brown nosed arse lickers who everybody should note down in a list of their names as the "dodgy" ones (Savile was a royalist)

# undermining the whole credibility of the Royal Family in the 21st century as an institution going forward and fit for purpose

# proving the fact that Britain in the 21st century is run by a small privileged clique or class for its own benefit  that effectively ran the country a 100 years ago and a hundred years before that due to its power and control over all aspects, short of a fully blown police state, of national life.
