I went to Ningbo to visit some factories as part of an old job I had a while back, and I was I introduced to some workers during their break, and was kindly offered some of what they were eating. What looked like chicken drumsticks, were upon closer inspection, battered duck heads. They were holding the beaks and chewing away at the heads. That alone didn't bother me too much although I did decline it. What bothered me was that any gristle they inevitably came across was casually and very loudly spat out onto the floor where they were sitting.
