I was not there on the day in question but there was an incident in the cookery class involving a girl called Mavis Johnson who's father worked for ICI she bought in a small quantity of some chemical put it in an earthen ware pot added baking soda and sealed the pot with a rubber stopper and then dashed to the loo. when she came back everyone in the room was in a state of shock and the rubber stopper was firmly embedded in the ceiling.
