They are now running a trial on the medicine here in the UK; another one on a new antiviral is in the pipelines, too. I have steroids on standby here at home, just in case. He seems to think that swallowing antibiotics every day is beneficial, and dosing up on steroids as well. Both should be used sparingly and as infrequently as possible. He also believes that he needs piped oxygen 24hrs a day and has the nasal specs hanging out of his nose perpetually. He doesn't realise that the overuse of antibiotics renders them useless, and constant supplementary oxygen can cause Oxygen toxicity syndrome and actually damage his lungs. On reflection, he's a stupid fucking cunt and he'll probably die soon. This affects divers and those in hyperbaric treatment; your average git will not have that to worry about. But overuse of antibiotics accept for emergency is not very wise, long term.
