This virus is nasty if you have risk factors, but is not any worse than a moderate illness that one can self care for at home if you are fit and well. The numbers evidence this over the last 10 months. If the old bill come knocking don't answer the door. If you are outside, not wearing a mask, say you are exempt. Something like chronic sinusitis is not something that is visual to others. Never give them your details. They have no right to detain you under PACE, in England. The only thing one needs to be "vigilant" for is grasses. There is still a lot of silly official advice around .. one stupid bit of advice was to in effect tell "vulnerable" people to isolate. I know quite a few healthy old people who simply stopped going out and are still not going out. If some one is physically active and able to walk (or a wheelchair bound type who can propel themselves using an old fashioned manual wheelchair the best thing they can do is to keep active and go out and about in the fresh air .. simply mask up, do their best to distance and take care. An end result of some of the current advice is that you are going to end up with some reasonably otherwise healthy vulnerable people who will become housebound and will will present a further burden on the NHS and support services. Much of the stupidity came from an interview with Michael Gove where he suggested that people could go out for an hour to exercise .. there was never a time limit, all there was were defined reasons for leaving your home and requirement to distance.
