Funny how they never featured on Never Mind The Buzzcocks' "Indecipherable Lyrics" round. Perhaps truth really is stranger than fiction.

I’ve got a few DK albums but my fave bands from that 2nd (1st?) wave of American punk and hardcore are DOA, Black Flag, The Descendents, Minor Threat and Bad Religion

Music today is so fucking tame

I've warned you about calling me names before. I wont fucking tell you again. Anymore abuse from you and I will fucking haunt you throughout your time on this site. Now, enough.

So you admit it! Admit you were WRONG boy. Just stick your hand up and say, "Please Mr ChildeHarold, I apologise for my ignorance about the availability of Caribbean food in East Dulwich. I am very sorry and I won't do it again. I accept I am mongoloid and am currently claiming attendance allowance for the three daily carers that provide me with 24 hour care. "

I haven't been there for a few years. And where it's situated is right near the Estate so you would get some custom seeing as the estate is mostly black. If it was along the Lordship Lane it would stand no chance. Dulwich is populated by middle class honkies who talk about diversity but a racist enough not to want to have Jemima and Miles mixing with the brethren. Hence the local private schools are well subscribed. I know, because I know a few people who live there.

Your understanding of politics is a lesson in pig ignorance

Really?

Your splentetic diatribes on this matter merely serve to remind me of Lord Acton's most famous quote, with which you're doubtless familiar, given your wealth of knowledge in the political arena.

Of course, this applies more to the Tories, because they've had their hands more on the levers of power in the last several years.

You'd be naive to think this pattern isn't the norm across business and all branches controlled by the public school privileged up and down the land. Which accounts for the fact that this is in reality a backward country. Hi Mr B Ward!

But that's not the point is it?

You're right - businesses grease the palms of power the world over but you seem to think it's purely the Tories (in the UK) that are on the take. That may be the case, because, as I pointed out, they have been in power for longer than anyone else since WW2 and have therefore more opportunity for mud to stick

However, just off the top of my head ; Harold Wilsons 'Lavender List', Peter Jay, Peter Mandelson (x2), Tessa Jowell's husband.....but hey, like you said my understanding of politics is negligible and I'm sure you, Master Oogway of the 6th Form Common Room, will dispense your special brand of wisdom from stage left and explain these away as 'lapses of judgement' or the recipients 'not being true socialists' and 'if only we had Pol Pot in charge then there would be no backhanders because we'd all be necking ambrosia, knee deep in gin and hookers.'

"Cunt" is such a multi-purpose word on here, often being used to express approval (as in the phrase "Rev, you cunt, I'd just eaten".)

However, I get the sense that you're using it in its more traditional guise here.

Even Harold's beloved Guardian has Tony Blair high among its list of past offenders.

What other lobbying scandals have there been in British politics?

After Tony Blair had replaced John Major in No 10 in 1997, hopes of moving on from the era of “sleaze” were soon dented when it emerged that Blair’s government had exempted Formula One from a new ban on tobacco advertising, several months after Bernie Ecclestone, the head of the sport’s governing body, donated £1m to Labour. The money was returned and Blair said the two events were not connected, insisting in a TV interview that he was “a pretty straight kind of guy”. Documents released under freedom of information laws in 2008 suggested Blair had intervened over the issue shortly after meeting Ecclestone.

Did you know that in The Ataris' cover of "Boys Of Summer" they replace the "deadhead" reference with "Out on the road today, I saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadilac"?

Now you're talking!

I presume you're also familiar with the work of Bad Brains, The Minutemen, Circle Jerks?

I read somewhere the other day that Lady Gaga was regarded as 'edgy' and I realised it was all over for me and the music press / thought leaders.

It's no good looking for exoneration of the current offenders by saying

# it's always gone on in this country

# Labour are just as bad

# the whole world is the same, it's everywhere

You have to deal with what' s going on NOW.

You've gone up in my estimation. I apologise for comparing you to Bernard Cribbens in full flow or Kenneth Williams lukewarm.

Me? Why is it down to me??

The State has checks and balances to del with this kind of thing. Oh wait, no it hasn't at least none that are effective, which makes my point. It's always gone on and no bugger is vexed enough about it to vote in anyone who will do Jack Shit about it.

Deal with it - how? Practically - and don't give me a load of revolutionary bullshit out of your 'Pol Pot guide to slaughtering the middle classes' - how?

No one is getting rid of the secret handshake, the old school tie and beer and sandwiches for the Union grandees. Just try and walk on the bullshit rather than drown in it
