Absolutely not. I use a bog standard Windows laptop.

Nothing I hate more than cunts who buy a MacBook then just use it for the usual browsing of the Internet. Sure, if you're a music producer, graphic designer, editor, programmer etc, macs are stable, powerful and worth the money.

If you are just some run of the mill cunt it's a complete waste of money.

They fucking aint. Have you looked at a Mac recently? In the 90s they were very good, but somewhere along the line they stopped building their own stuff.

I had a browse in PC World a while ago and was surprised to see the Macbooks using i5 i7 processors. A macbook with an i7, 500gig HD and 4 gig of RAM was around £1500ish.

An Acer Win10 laptop with an i7,1T HD, 8 gig of RAM was a grand.

Macs these days are PCs with a different OS in a shiny, fruity case.

Balls. In last office with one exchange server and 7 Windows machines, fucking things build up issues if on continually after a year  or two, so that 2 were being replaced yearly , and pretty much 3 days a month either slow or network issues. Particularly if your staff are continually on the porn. In  current office we have a 4 iMac network and never ever any issue , they last for years, iOS being miles more immune to virus / malware. Yeah they're expensive ,. but if it's design / report presentation purposes , its the only way.

It would take a lot more than that to have me sliding off the chair. My IT field was in interface architecture processing hard technical and scientific data into something that can be read at a glance in time critical situations, initially with medical devices, then automotive telematics, finally with avionics (glass cockpits). Before the site's stalkers bombard LinkedIn, my career took a completely different turn some 15 years ago and I now stack shelves at Tesco  as a Deputy Team Leader (Dry Goods) (and I'm only, ahem, 39).

I digress.

Many small and medium sized firms make the mistake in installing PC's designed for home use basically to save money whereas more robust machines should be used in the commercial environment. Also servers are less prone to maintenance issues if running on a Linux OS - not as sexy looking as MS Windows, but certainly more stable.

Can you please tell me more about these new-fangled "glass" cockpits you speak of? I always thought opaque material was the most practical for flying military vehicles around war zones?

Hmm, every day's a school day.

mmm. Nice. Next time you're in town, why not drop by for a look at my rooter?

Yeah , i dunno, they were always dell biz machines, and usually were shit and buggy by year two, IT support guys always said fuck the box out and get another, not worth sorting. I know next to fuck all about this, but iOS gets zero bugs and isnt updated in additions. Plus i have an architect and a qs, so thats that really.  Dont mention linux, its greek to me.

Just turn it off and on. One or two punters do that several times a day.

Where was Scotty placed. Surely he must have been close with the bar seemingly suffering from vertigo - just like every other fucking year.

I told my wife a joke about fellatio and she said "I don't get it."

I replied "neither do I, ever."
