It's funny when reading anything EU from the UK because it mostly bears absolutely no resemblance to what's actually going on here. As for the EU, there's heaps that I like about it that I previously never thought I would and heaps that I utterly despise, it just needs the political will to reform keeping what works and chucking out what doesn't. As for the EU army I couldn't give a flying fuck to be honest, it might be a good idea that's needed or it might be another EU lemon. I try to rise above to scare mongering on all issues and take a pragmatic stance. Life's pretty all right, we're all still Dutchmen, Germans, Danes etc, nothing's changed, our cultures are all still intact and we all seem to get on well with each other. I'm happy with being able to drive over the border to Germany for cheaper everything without having to change currencies and show my passport. Given all the ills and woes of the EU I'd still wouldn't swap it for the UK.

But the Ruling Sect of ancient vampire warlords get to use you as cattle. And what about the gigantic killbots they unearthed in Estonia?? These are the reasons I voted Brexit, they're quite worrying if you ask me.

The ruling sect haven't yet tried to curtail our god given right to our coffee shops, so for as long as they keep off of that they're fine with me.

Don't worry about the gigantic killbots, they were planted by Charles Darwin in an attempt to de-bunk the bible.

I don't believe the EU is capable of reforming. It has never shown any hint it wants to reform. Expansion and control are its modus operandi.

As a lifelong UK plc resident, it is difficult enough to keep up with the venal dealings of the elected and appointed shitbags we have in both houses of parliament. Another lavishly funded layer of criminals, some non-elected, is not what I want or need. However, as discussed previously, I think the uber rich will get what they want from the judiciary and the sensible people who voted out will be fucked over. We will be locked into a rich man's club in Europe, a club that is on a destination to failure, through currency meltdown and a total unwillingness to act upon constructive criticism.

I read it when it was still a pukka children's comic and it was excellent. Then it started becoming like an adult graphic novel for up themselves students and Audi drivers. I occasionally buy a copy these days just to check on what Dredd is up to.

I'm not liberal leaning in the least, I hold staunch conservative values and sentiments, I'm so staunchly conservative that I believe that thick plebs such as yourself should be denied the right to the democratic process, Brexit being a very good example as to why that might be. Democracy should be for the deserving and politically astute. I'd have any potential voter take an exam to test their viability to take part in the process. You obviously wouldn't  qualify.

The ask regarding Brexit was binary, binary for a very good reason in that the average bod on the street is in fact politically unengaged with anything other than a two way question being far too perplexing to comprehend, it's based on the primeval flight or fight reaction for people like yourself that still think in primeval  mode. You've allowed yourself to be convinced by snake oil salesman that you've got a problem, that's it's someone else's fault and that they can offer you a solution to all your problems if you submit to there will. They'd rather that you didn't look to deeply into what they're offering simply because they're not actually offering anything. A third option could have been given as choice but that would have kept both camps happy but that wouldn't have had the decisive desired effect of divide and conquer that you've happily bought into. You're having the piss ripped out of you without being aware of it, blissfully unaware of having one pulled on you.

How is your free speech being stifled because I live right inside the lion's den with my freedom of speech and expression being still very much intact. There's nothing I can't say now that I couldn't have said twenty years ago. So what exactly is it that you can't say now that you could have said twenty years ago?

It might be worth me mentioning that I run and own an effort of a free speech site that in part exposes and disposes radical regressive neo liberalism where the posters are pretty free to say what they like how they like with impunity and without redress. The thing is they are for the most a pretty intelligent bunch that are eloquent enough to be able to get their opinions and views over without sounding like Bernard Manning. So if you can't state your point with intelligence and integrity I should imagine that you must feel like your free speech is in impending danger of being stifled in which case the liberals you're referring actually do have a point to be considered. If you can't communicate your perceived frustrations without sounding like a prize prick then that's your problem and they are right.

That's the reason I refuse to argue with you. I'll reiterate.... it would be as pointless as the Brexit referendum that you were wrongly allowed to vote on.

You pompous sod.

The problem with the EU dreams as far as the UK is concerned is that we are an island and an island that is on the edge of the rest of the EU at that, it is not possible for us to compete or function on a "level playing field" with the rest of the EU and the EU itself also does not make any  provison for that. Here in the wild west I am closer distance wise to France than I am to most of the UK, however a stretch of water separates me from France and that makes travel thereto very slow. Outside my residence I can get into my Morris Marina Turbo and reach London or Birmingham in about three hours. I could even set out to visit Manky who is about 240 miles away. Join him for a late lunch and still be back at Penelope Towers before 9PM. Try to make a similar visit to my friend Rene who lives in Rennes and who is about 120 miles away would not be possible. I might be able to have a late breakfast with him tomorrow but even then I could not easily be back before Monday.

You've just proved my point. To think that a prick like you has the right to vote, you and your thick ilk are a liability and danger to society, you cheapen, invalidate and  abuse the democratic process. You're a disgrace.

He is a prick and as expected completely missed my point. He doesn't know what he's voted for whereas I would wanted to know exactly what I was being asked to vote for. You couldn't have dragged me away from porn hub to bother wasting my time on that load of bollocks. The idea of Brexit is fantastic, I'm all for it, I hope that I get to vote on 'Nexit' but I'll want to be a lot more informed by our snake oil salesmen then the Brits were before committing. From the beginning it was obvious that Brexit was going to be one massive fuck up so lessons will be taken for if and when we get a vote. So when that twat says he knows why he voted to leave the EU he's even lying or utterly fucking deluded and still in denial of being conned by his intellectual superiors that have all by and large fucked off into the pale blue yonder leaving him to boil in his own piss.

I think that they are worried about the rise of the so called 'far right', (i hate that term) that will force reform, because of the rise of the right wing they will have to compromise and relinquish some power to hold onto some power. Here on the mainland there really isn't an appetite for a complete deconstruction of the EU. Most states are seeing a light at the end of tunnel after the crash and are getting back on their feet and so don't want jeopardize any of that progress based on emotional ideal of nationalism that basically fueled the Brexit debate. I'd like see my country given a referendum to leave or stay in the EU but not yet, it's too early and it would be better to see how the beta test Brexit turns out.

I didn't know what I was voting for. All I know is I didn't want to be a member of the EU. Sometimes a leap in the dark is the best option.

The pompous, unlistening political elite have been served notice that they are less than universally liked or trusted. Bring it on.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I want to know exactly what's on the table before I commit to anything, every detail and nothing left to chance. I'm like that when I buy something like insurance or a car, the same rules apply because I refuse let some dodgy spiv rip me off by flogging me a lemon.

Every commentator, expert, panelist and politician had a personal agenda. Truth was in short supply and the powers that be disapproved of my using Sodium Pentathol, polygraphs and torture to get the truth out of them. In the absence of facts due to no fucker knowing what would happen, I went with my gut feelings.

The problem is that people, especially in Germany think that places like Auschwitz will re-opened and the ovens fired up again. Total bollocks. The chances of right wing parties actually winning are slim as there will be coalitions formed to stop them. It's about time these cunts listened to the people instead of thinking only of themselves.

I fully agree with that. Apply the same principle to this. I was around in 75 when we voted to join a "common market" and since then we have been drawn into what's fast becoming a United States of Europe. We have lost a huge amount of our sovereignty over those years and I don't want to give my democratic rights over to Europe. It's as simple as that.I was given the opportunity to have my say [that's called democracy] and I did just that which was my right. You remainers will have a different view and that's your right, but it doesn't make you right just because you disagree.

You lot criticise me for being insulting but you're just as bad.

To be honest Gong, I got as far as your idiotic suggestion that people should be denied their democratic rights and couldn't be arsed to read anymore of that arrogant drivel.

However, I do know why I voted out and as I've said many times it was because I'm totally against the UK merging into the United States of Europe. That doesn't make me a racist and I didn't need it presenting to me like some kind of court case. I've been against this absolute bollox since we started giving away our sovereignty and it became obvious that what the public voted on in 1975 was a complete con. I don't care if there's a plan or not. I have been waiting decades to have my vote against Europe in whatever way I could which is my right. Fuck Europe.

It's none of your business what's on the table. You had your vote and we're coming out of the EEC.

Well you don't live in some northern islamified mill town where thousands of Islamic twats have been landed without your consent or approach for approval.

Its towns like Burnley, Bradford and Rotherham that helped swing the vote.Labours open door policy on immigration has sealed their political fate.
