The other thing of note is that most of its organizational structure appears to be intact. Speaking as someone who grew up in an exclusively Protestant town in NI and has lifelong friends in the loyalist paramilitaries, I would simply repeat something that Gerry Adams told a baying crowd at an IRA funeral, during the long ceasefire while the peace process was being negotiated.....”They haven’t gone away you know.” The same still very much applies to the Loyalists, who are well documented to have handed over a very small fraction of their arms for decommissioning

Nice try Sigmund. As I’ve said before, it was no escape, merely Long planned retirement to the sun with my Aussie wife who wanted to be nearer her family. We brought it forward a bit given the prevailing winds in the UK and the NHS. I still have many ties to the old country, not least financial, and it’s very sad to see Britannia in such a sorry state, all of her own making.
